The daughter of Pierre Morey, Anne Morey has assumed the day-to-day operations of Domaine Pierre Morey and Morey-Blanc. Assisted by her father still today, Anne Morey has settled into her own with the wines that she makes. Her white wines, much like her father's, are just absolutely stunning and classic examples of white Burgundy. Remember, Pierre Morey was the longtime winemaker for Domaine Leflaive and he was also a sharecropper for the Lafons before Dominique assumed control of Comtes Lafon. Pierre Morey’s skill with Chardonnay is legendary. Anne Morey’s skill with Chardonnay is equally impressive but more importantly, her skill and touch with Pinot Noir is absolutely stunning.

Anne Morey has the ability to bring grace, perfume, sensuality and refinement to the most rustic and less desirable villages of the Cote de Beaune. The best way to describe a Pinot Noir from Anne Morey is to assume that the sisters of Mugneret-Gibourg had made wine in the Cote de Beaune. The aromatics and silky regalness of the wines is stunning. 

Anne Morey without question is one of the most underappreciated red winemakers of the Cote de Beaune. These are wines for Burgundy enthusiasts that love the purity of fruit and florality of Pinot Noir. Lively and electrifying in their youth. They are wines built upon a freshness and backbone of acidity that will allow them to age and evolve in the cellar if that is your preference. The Monthelie wines while ageable are perfect for any night of the week. The Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru offers a structure and heartiness that is softened by Morey’s touch. The Volnay and Pommards are aromatic teases that are constantly showcasing a bounty of florality and silky overtures.
