Everything GAJA The GAJA family is one of Italy’s greatest winemaking families in the history of the country. GAJA, Antinori, and Frescobaldi are clearly families that excel at making wine in their home region but throughout the entire country. Angelo Gaja is of course the living legend that truly catapulted GAJA onto the world stage. The Barbaresco from GAJA are legendary and epic wines that continue to wow and impress today whether they are young and older wines. The addition of Barolo brought about a global demand for GAJA is one of the most collected and beloved of the region. The expansion to Tuscany not only brought about the fantastic Brunello di Montalcino but also one of the most fascinating Bolgheri estates that focuses on Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Now Angelo has his sights on Etna in Sicily where Idda has been established and already turning out beautiful examples of Etna. The Etna project brings back into focus just how much the GAJA family also loves to produce white wines and just how exceptional they are at. While Idda on Etna will be mostly white wine, in Piemonte the family is also developing a brand new winery for their white wine production. GAJA has it all from white wine to red wine. From everyday drinkers to cellar worthy white and red wines that collectors around the world have been stocking away in their cellars for decades. Cheers, |
