Renzo Cotarella the legendary winemaker for the Antinori's has publicly stated on numerous occasion that 2021 is the finest wines he has made yet at Guado al Tasso and  Tignanello. 

Situated in the prestigious Bolgheri region of Tuscany whose neighbors include Ornellaia, Sassicaia, and Gaja to name a few, Guado al Tasso benefits from a unique terroir. The vineyards, nestled near the Mediterranean coast, enjoy ideal conditions for growing Bordeaux varietals. The combination of well-drained soils, warm climate, cooling sea breezes, and optimal sun exposure contributes to the development of rich, complex flavors and exceptional ripeness in the grapes.

Guado al Tasso is unlike the famed Antinori Tignanello and Solaia that are produced further inland in the Chianti zone. Not only are the regional conditions vastly different and the soils composition, but Guado al Tasso is purely based on Bordeaux varietals whereas both Tignanello and Solaia include Sangiovese in the blend. As a result, Guado al Tasso is the Cabernet focused red at Antinori that rivals Sassicaia and Ornellaia. Two wines that the Antinori’s had their hand in assisting to create over the years and lead them to create this marvelous property that truly excels with Cabernet and Cabernet Franc.
