The 2021 Meursault Les Vireuils traditionally from a cold microclimate somehow managed to still provide 50% of a normal crop. This has a reserved nose with touches of wax resin and citrus fruit that unfurl in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with grapefruit lime cordial and light orange rind notes. Open and generous this Meursault will likely give immense pleasure in its youth. (Drink between 2024-2034)
Jasper Morris: 90-92 Points
Six barrels made a half crop. Lemon and lime colour. A little touch of minerality from the bouquet onwards some varied citrus family notes racy and quite distinguished. Worth seeking out. Drink from 2025-2029.
