Here too there is a whiff of green apple to the pretty cool and elegant if restrained nose of lemon zest white flower and mineral reduction. There is almost painful intensity to the overtly mineral-suffused big-bodied flavors that terminate in a linear and borderline strict bone-dry finish that leaves zero doubt that this is going to need extended patience to flesh out. The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru unfolds on the nose with honeysuckle white flowers fennel and hazelnut aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity though I am just seeking a little more weight and girth towards the finish. Not bad but needs more substance.
