This is a 50/50 blend and it?s very pale as well as having a slight cloudiness. It shows fine-grained structure with tangy cherries and raspberries with a nice taut edge. Vital expressive and fine with lovely fruit and a sense of energy. A beautiful lighter-style red. 94/100djg
The 2021 Francis Road Vineyard is an unusual blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Mission from an organically farmed vineyard in the Cucamonga Valley that includes about 20% white grapes. Pale garnet it's bursting with aromas of raspberry strawberry and cranberry with spicy accents of tea leaves mossy bark potpourri quinine and bitter citrus. The light-bodied palate is chalky and fresh with savory iodine undertones bitters-laced fruit and a refreshing finish. There's an appealing wildness to this wine although it won't be everyone's cup of tea.
