With a minimalistic, handsoff approach, Stephane a native Burgundian has a love for Pinot Noir. After studing across the globe from Switzerland, Sonoma and New Zealand, Stephane in 2002 landed in Carneros as the winemaker for Hyde de Villaine - HdV. Over the years, Stephane and his wife began their own personal project that is a full fledge family affair and operation. Their limited production wines are precise examples of single vineyard Pinot Noirs.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard has a medium ruby color and bright aromas of red cherries and dried cranberries layered with nuances of decaying leaves fresh mushrooms cracked pepper and licorice. Medium-bodied bright and juicy the palate offers appealing crunchy fruits delicate earthy accents and a long uplifted spicy finish.
