Burghound: 91-94 Points
Firm reduction flattens the underlying fruit though there is excellent freshness and verve to the sleek delicious and beautifully delineated flavors that terminate in a chiseled finale that is shaped by citrus-inflected and crunchy acidity on the firm and tightly coiled finale. Once again more depth would be beneficial but given the extended potential aging curve that is all-but certain to occur over time. (Drink starting 2031)

Aromas of sweet orchard fruit orange zest and spices introduce the 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain a medium to full-bodied ample and fleshy wine with a satiny attack and an ample rounded core of fruit that marks this out as one of the richer more gourmand wines in the range.
