Glowing fresh purple this has a gorgeously sensual bouquet some perfect raspberries fresh roses a few peonies really subtle and engagingly supple. Another wave of fruit comes over less floral now perhaps some clean-cut ripe strawberries. Brilliantly delineated
The 2019 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has also turned out brilliantly. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of red berries plums and pomegranate mingled with orange rind sweet spices rose petals and forest floor it's medium to full-bodied seamless and complete with an ample core of fruit framed by lively acids and exquisitely refined tannins. One of the most elegant and precise wines in the range it's worth a special effort to seek out.
The 2019 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a beautifully-defined bouquet crushed stone infusing the vivid red fruit hints of pressed rose petals and a touch of blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation a fine bead of acidity quite structured and harmonious a delicate touch of spice with a strict linear quintessentially Latricières finish. Sophisticated but serious. (Drink between 2026-2055)
Once again the nose is ripe yet decidedly cool with its layered dark berry aromas that reflect additional notes of spice violet lavender and whiffs of humus. There is borderline painful intensity to the chiseled and tension-filled middle weight plus flavors that brim with an almost pungent minerality that carries over to the delicate yet powerful and youthfully austere finale. This is also excellent with fine development potential. (Drink starting 2034)
