The 2008 Ghemme Collis Carellae is a real stunner. Rose petal mint violets sweet red cherries and licorice are some of the many notes that blossom in a firm classically built wine that will make lovers of traditionally made Nebbiolos weak at the knees. Vibrant translucent and deeply expressive the 2008 is simply magnificent from the very first taste. I imagine the 2008 will reward readers with another 15-20 years of exceptional drinking.
