Chionetti's 2016 Barolo Bussia Vigna Pianpolvere is laced with dark macerated cherry kirsch mint orange peel spice and licorice. Rich and ample on the palate the 2016 offers fine depth and enough freshness to drink well for a number of years. There is an element of exoticism that is quite appealing but the tannins are also large-grained and give the wine a distinctly rustic character. (Drink between 2022-2036)
