The 2019 Fixin Champs des Charmes wafts from the glass with aromas of rose hip peonies warm spices wild berries and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied supple and perfumed it's lively and elegant with a bright core of fruit and melting structuring tannins its charming profile belying serious depth and concentration.

The 2019 Fixin Champs des Charmes comes from vines planted in the 1960s from a massal selection. It has a very refined bouquet of violet licorice and light aniseed aromas. The palate is well balanced with fine-grained tannins and a lick of licorice slathered over the black fruit on the finish. This is very distinctive and should age with style. (Drink between 2023-2032)
