Jasper Morris: 82-90 Points
From an organic vineyard in Comblanchien mid to upper slope below the little chateau on a limestone bench which gives too small a crop from small pinot fin grapes. The result can be quite a tannic wine if you do not take care in vinifying as Pierre-Henri discovered in 2018 so he adopted a much lighter touch in 2019. There is still a volatile element to contend with though. Medium deep red with some volatile. There is a generosity of fruit in the mouth alongside more volatile notes appearing at the finish but if you are less sensitive to volatility then there is a lot going for this. Dry at the finish before sweeter notes emerge once again. Really interesting but not perfect.
