The 2018 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is a new wine from Rinaldi. Crushed flowers sweet red berry fruit cinnamon spice and orange peel are all finely knit. Silky and medium in body the 2018 captures the essence of this great La Morra site. There's gorgeous transparency here not to mention tons of character. The 2018 shuts down quickly in the glass which is probably a good sign for the future. It is one of the very few 2018s I would be tempted to cellar. - By Antonio Galloni on September 2022 Paola Rinaldi and her team turned out a gorgeous set of 2018s. Readers will note the introduction of the new Barolo Rocche dell?Annunziata which is made from fruit that previously went into the straight Barolo bottling. Other than that things remain pretty much unchanged here. Rinaldi remains a terrific source for reasonably priced classically built Barolos steeped in tradition.

This is a new submission from Francesco Rinaldi & Figli. The 2018 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is loaded with ripe fruit spice tar and black licorice. This is a beautiful wine and like the other Barolos in this portfolio you would do well to give it time. Open the bottle in advance. Those characteristic La Morra tannins are slightly softer and silkier but the wine is adequately stacked for long cellar aging.
